JIM CARREY MOVIE CASTING CALL

Jim Carrey will be starring in a new movie called "Yes Man" and one of the scenes in the movie involves a Nebraska home football game complete with crowd shots. Filming was done of full crowd scenes at the Oklahoma State game on October 13th. The filming of close up crowd shots involving approximately 600 "extras" dressed in Nebraska game day attire is scheduled for Friday, January 11th, 2008 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.

ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL PRIOR TO FILMING TO CONFIRM THEIR STATUS.

Update 1/9/08 - All applicants that have been approved MUST CALL this number between 2 and 4 PM on Thursday, January 10th. If you call earlier you will get a message asking you to call back between 2 and 4 PM. You will be given instructions on location, wardrobe notes, and call time. If you do not call tomorrow your name will not be on the list and you will not be able to participate.

Terms and Conditions
If you would like to participate as an extra in this crowd scene you will need to be available an entire day, starting early in the morning hours. Priority will be given in the following order:

  • Current member of Californians for Nebraska or Nebraska Coast Connection
  • Nebraska football fan
  • Everybody else

NON-UNION EXTRAS: Working as an extra you are paid $60 for eight hours. After eight hours you go into overtime which is time and one half for the ninth and tenth hour and double time starting with the eleventh hour. You can count on at least a twelve hour day. You are responsible for your transportation to and from the Coliseum.

Film days run long - generally 12 hours or more. Please make arrangements for baby sitters, jobs, school, etc. in advance. Do not accept a call as an extra unless your ENTIRE day is free.

When we call or email you to cast you please respond to accept the job and you will be given further instructions regarding the time and location to report to the day before you work. Please report to work on time. DO NOT BE LATE!!

You will be given lunch on the set when you work. It may not be for six hours or so after you start so bring an apple or whatever helps food wise. Bringing a newspaper or a book is also a good idea. You will find yourself sitting and waiting at times.

TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS or BRINGING CAMERAS ON THE SET IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED!

Please do not bring family or friends with you unless they are supposed to be there.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK THE DIRECTOR OR ACTORS FOR AUTOGRAPHS!!

Please do not wander off when you are on the set. The Assistant Directors must be able to find you at all times. Professionally, this must be treated like any other job. We will try to make the day fun and exciting but you have been called to work and must remember this.

Everyone will be given a voucher and an I-9 form when they are checked in. You will be instructed how to fill it out and it will be collected at the end of the day. This is how you will be paid. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST BRING WITH YOU A DRIVER'S LICENSE AND A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD OR BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR A VALID PASSPORT IN ORDER TO GET PAID - YOU MUST SHOW VALID PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP ON THIS I-9 FORM. If you are a Screen Actors Guild Member you must bring your SAG card.

YOU MUST CALL IN ADVANCE IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE OR IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL SO YOU CAN BE REPLACED. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
